Models and Sizing
Triple Lens Diffusers
MaxLight skylights offer a choice of round triple lens diffusers for the ML250 and ML400 models. Developed by SolarBright, the triple lens technology ensures even light distribution while minimizing heat transfer.
The available diffuser options include:
- Auroramax Diffuser: A Fresnal micro-optic lens designed to deliver natural, evenly distributed light, regardless of the sun’s angle.
- Aurora Diffuser: Efficiently spreads light throughout the room.
- Prismax Diffuser: The traditional lens style used in the skylight industry.
- Warm Diffuser: A satin-matte surface that emits a soft, warm light.
These diffusers are designed to provide optimal lighting and enhance the ambiance of your space.
250mm and 400mm Square Diffusers
The 250mm Square Diffuser for the ML250 and the 400mm Square Diffuser for the ML400 are also available as part of the diffuser range. These modern and stylish square diffusers are an excellent choice for those who prefer a contemporary look over the traditional round diffusers.
To accommodate the square diffuser, a round to square transition box is installed at the bottom of the skylight tube, ensuring a seamless fit into the ceiling.
These diffusers are offered with the Warm Diffuser Lens Style, which provides a soft, inviting light to your space.
550mm Hybrid (Square) Diffusers
The 550mm Hybrid Square Diffuser is available for the ML400 and ML550 skylights. This diffuser allows a greater amount of light to enter your space, creating a bright and welcoming environment.
To accommodate the square diffuser, a round to square transition box is fitted at the bottom of the skylight tube, allowing seamless integration into your ceiling.
There are four distinct diffuser styles to choose from:
- Warm
- Aurora
- Prismax
- Glaze
Leak-Proof Flashings
MaxLight skylights come with a selection of custom-designed, seamless leak-proof flashings suitable for a variety of Australian roof types, including:
- Custom Orb (corrugated) Metal
- Kliplok Metal
- Concrete Tiles
- Terracotta Tiles
When ordering a MaxLight skylight kit, simply specify your roof type to ensure the correct flashing is included.
Combination Skylight and Ventilation Kit
The ML250 Combination Skylight and Vent kit offers both natural light and passive ventilation in one unit. This solution is ideal for areas such as bathrooms, laundries, and other small spaces that require both light and ventilation.
The interior trim features a triple lens diffuser and a ventilation grill in a single, neat trim kit, ensuring maximum functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Electric Light Fitting
The Electric Light Fitting is available for the MaxLight ML250 and ML400 skylights. This accessory allows you to install an electric light within the skylight tube, providing illumination on cloudy days or at night.
Please note, installation requires a qualified electrician to connect the light fitting to your home’s electrical system. A light switch must also be added in the room where the skylight is located.
Bushfire Kits
If you are constructing a home in a bushfire-prone zone, you can still install MaxLight skylights with the help of our bushfire kits, which are compatible with the MaxLight range.
Each Bushfire Kit includes:
- Metal Universal Flashing
- Metal Internal Ring
- Glass Insert
These kits ensure your skylight meets the necessary bushfire protection standards.
